Our Approach

Translating the organisation's DNA into space.

For OSIEA, the brief was about translating the organisation's DNA into a physical environment. Our design response centred on developing a language that is warm, vibrant, innovative, diverse, and unmistakably African, with sustainability woven into every decision.

Locally sourced finishes and locally crafted furniture were carefully selected to celebrate regional craftsmanship and support the local creative economy. African-inspired artwork, fabrics, and textures were thoughtfully integrated throughout the workplace, creating an environment that feels authentic, welcoming, and deeply connected to the organisation's values and purpose.

Sustainability was a guiding principle throughout the project, influencing material selection, planning decisions, and the overall approach to design and delivery. The completed workplace successfully balances functionality, identity, and environmental responsibility, resulting in a distinctive and purpose-driven environment that earned a Green Star Certification in recognition of its commitment to sustainable design and environmental performance.
